Update 29/09/2021
It's been a while since our last update but rest assured we have not been sitting idle. It has been a busy year and the team has been working hard to further develop services in line with the guidance and demands.
We're very pleased that most services have re-started though some of our locations are still not accessible for appointments.
In 2 weeks we will be starting our Crmych clinic again on a Friday afternoon.
Since the last update the team has expanded with 4 additional and enthusiastic chartered physiotherapists who will all be seeing to the huge demand on sport rehabilitation and injury management. Since most sports have re-started, the demand outstripped the capacity at a time when the new physios showed an interest to support the service, clubs, teams and gyms.
The remote support with our world leading interactive exercise program as well as the timely, professional, in-depth assessments and hands-on treatments our physiotherapists offer have been received well by our patients with great success rates.
We are at the start of making some further exciting changes to the service we offer and hope to be able to continue to be your preferred private physiotherapy service in Pembrokeshire.

Update 12/01/2021
First of all we like to wish all a healthy 2021 and all of you can remain well and healthy this year.
We can confirm that, at present, we are able to continue seeing patients face-to-face in our clinics in Milford Marina, Goodwick and Clynderwen during the newly announced Lockdown for Decemebr and January.
Our strict safety procedures remain in place as well as our easy self-referral triage system.
As guided by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, we will continue to take the approach of Remote Consultation as first option to consider.
Though we appreciate that the majority of our patients require face-to-face consultations to progress in their rehab, injury management or prevention of physical decline or injury.
We're pleased that we've been able to continue to assist so many patients already in their health and wellbeing during this COVID19 period and hope we can continue to do so for those who need to see us.
Any questions, please give us a ring on 01646693333 or email info@physiofitwestwales.co.uk.

Update 09/06/2020 - FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATIONS
We're pleased to announce that we're in the final stages to be able to offer face-to-face appointments again in our main clinics in Goodwick and Milford Haven.
As you all would appreciate, this involves a lot of work to safeguard our patients, staff, collegaues, the public and ourself in the best possible way and according to all the policies and guidance in place.
The last few months have seen a growing demand for our professional remote consultations and we've managed to help many patients with guidance, advice and exercises online.
We will continue be using this option as our first consideration before we can move towards a Face-to-Face consultation if clinically necessary.
Our Independent Associated Chartered Physios have been able to see occcasional patients at home who were at high risk of admission or requred acute rehabilitation after discharge. This service will continue to be available as guided by our Professional Organisation and national government guidance.
Our Physiofit West Wales Ltd sponsorship for 4 local charites will remain in place till the end of September before we will review this situation.
We're all very keen to return to a level of normality and continue to support our patients with the best possible treatments but appriciate your patience, understanding and support to make this return safe for all.
We'll keep you updated over the next few days about our formal re-opening for Face-to-Face consultations for non-urgent requests.

Update 10/04/2020 - SUPPORTING LOCAL CHARITIES
PhysioFit West Wales Ltd has teamed up with some important local charities to allow us to donate any commision income received from our Remote Consultations by the IACPs.
During this period of COVID-19 outbreak, as a business, we fellt strongly that we should support not just our Independent Associated Chartered Physiotherapists (IACPs) and their families, our referrers, the IACPs current and new patients, our Essesntial Workers but also some of the improtant local chairites.
These are particularly hard times for charities who usually rely on fundraising events by the public. PhysioFit West Wales Ltd and the team strongly feel that we should do all we can to support them where we can.
This will not take away that we would ask the public and patients to consider donating directly to any charitiy who could do with their support.

Update 27/03/2020 - CSP Update
UPDATE CHARTERED SOCIETY OF PHYSIOTHERAPY & PHYSIOFIRST:
During the COVID-19 emergency the physiotherapy workforce, regardless of sector or setting should be compliant with UK government advice and follow NHS guidance for healthcare professionals.
What follows is based on guidance from NHS England. In the absence of specific guidance from the other UK countries, it should be used widely.
Patients should only be offered face-to-face consultations if:
- They are in hospital and require physiotherapy.
- You have a high suspicion of risk of serious deterioration from underlying pathology and you are unable to determine this remotely
- They have urgent rehabilitation needs, which if not met, will require care from General Practice, secondary care or social care agencies. This is particularly important if they themselves are a carer of someone who is vulnerable.
- They require rehabilitation to support their rapid discharge from secondary care (Hospital setting).
All other physiotherapy consultations, at this time (and until further notice) should be remote.
Please call us on 01646 693333 or email us at info@physiofitwestwales.co.uk with any questions, concerns or to book or cancel an appointment.

Update17/03/2020List Item 3
As developments in the management of the COVID-19 / Corona Virus are taking place constantly, we have introduced more stricter measures for attending our clinics by the public.
From this week and until further notice, we have spread the appointments and allowed 15 minutes at each end of the session to create social distancing and allow the clinician to clean before and after each session.
We ask our patients to kindly aim to attend on the agreed times to support this matter.
All patients will be given a tissue to use when they do have a cough or a sneeze and will use hand sanitier or be given the chance to wash their hands prior and after each session.
Above all, we strictly ask not to attend if you have any of the possible known Corona Virius symptoms yourself or anyone you bring with you or anyone in your household who is or should be self isolated.
If you have any uncertainties about this we strictly advice you to contact us first before attending the appointment to avoid unnecessary spread.
We greatly appreciate your support !!

Update 13/03/2020List Item 2
We are currently operating as normal and continuing to follow strict hygiene procedures for infection control. We are closely following the guidance published by Public Health Wales regarding the Covid-19 outbreak.
We kindly ask patients and visitors to contact us to cancel their appointments at any of our clinics if they have been to an at risk country or have a cough, fever or shortness of breath.
We understand this might be a worrying time but please remember the best way to avoid spread is maintaining personal hygiene, carry tissues to catch coughs and sneezes, wash your hands regularly (especially before eating and after coughing or sneezing) and avoid touching other people unprotected who're known to be unwell with potential Corona Virus symptoms.
